About this statute
These Regulations may be cited as the Access to Short title Information (General) Regulations, 2025. This section defines three terms for the Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires. A requester must use Form I to make an information request, and the information holder must help, acknowledge the request within three working days, and handle certain oral requests in writing. An information holder must tell the requester in Form II if the requested information cannot be found or does not exist after reasonable steps to find it. An information holder must provide information to a requester when a request is made under regulation 3. The requester may then ask for the information in another form, but a fee applies.

In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires
This section defines three terms for the Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires.

(1) A requester shall make a request for information to an

3. (1) A requester shall make a request for information to an information holder in Form I set out in the First Schedule. (2) The Form referred to under subregulation (1) may be– (a) accessed electronically or physically from an information Request to access information holder; and (b) submitted electronically or physically by a requester to an information holder. (7) A requester shall not pay a fee for a request under sub- regulation (1). (1) An information holder shall, where the information
An information holder must tell the requester in Form II if the requested information cannot be found or does not exist after reasonable steps to find it.
4. (1) An information holder shall, where the information requested under regulation 3 cannot be found or does not exist and an information holder has taken reasonable steps to find that information, inform the requester in Form II set out in the First Schedule. (1) An information holder shall, on a request for information
An information holder must provide information to a requester when a request is made under regulation 3. The requester may then ask for the information in another form, but a fee applies.
5. (1) An information holder shall, on a request for information made under regulation 3, provide information to the requester in accordance with section 18 of the Act.
