1. This Order may be cited as the Fisheries (Management Title Area) (Declaration) Order, 2025.

2. The areas described in the Schedule are declared as Fisheries Management Areas. Box 30136, 10101, Lusaka, Price K8.00 each 68 Statutory Instruments 23rd January, 2026 SCHEDULE (Paragraph 2) FISHERIES MANAGEMENT AREAS TANGANYIKA - NSUMBU FMA Starting at the international boundary northwest between Zambia and Democratic Republic of Congo having a coordinates 81° 29' 18.8196 S; 16° 37' 0.4908 E and runs eastwards approximately 21.344km where the Republic of Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo and United Republic of Tanzania meet on the water at coordinate 81° 33' 35.1684 S; 17° 49' 12.2376 E; thence southwards on a straight line approximately 35.165km to the mouth of Lufubu river; thence Nsumbu National Park at the confluence of Lufubu river heading westwards, approximately

76.2km to Nsumbu town, thence northeast wards to Chisala stream approximately 2.8 km which spills into Lake Tanganyika; thence stretching to a distance of 8.4km to Munjela river which spills into Lake Tanganyika; approximately, 47km the distance from Nsumbu town to the point of starting between the international boundary (Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo). WEST LUNGA FMA Starting from where the Kabompo River enters Musele and Matebo Game Management Areas at coordinates of 12°20’32.14 S , 25°6’13.97 E the boundary thence runs southward for approximately 83.15km up to coordinates 12°58’46.28 S and 25°32’55.64 E which is the southeast corner of Matebo Game Management Area; thence turns westward to coordinates 13°17’89"S , 25° 05’12.5 E and flows for approximately 88km south-westward until Manyinga which forms the southwestern ward boundary of the Fisheries Management Area at coordinates 13°24’58.51 S , 24°19’35.24 E; thence moves northwards for approximately 115km to encompass Lukwakwa and Chibwika Game Management Areas within the Fisheries Management Area; thence eastwards back to coordinates 12°20’32.14 S , 25°6’13.97 E the entry point of the Kabompo River in Musele Game Management Area; Game Management Area and West Lunga National Park and joins the Kabompo at coordinates 13° 72’31"S, 24°39’26.49"E spanning a distance of approximately 93km; thence eastwards through Musele Matebo Game Management Area’s at coordinates of 12°37’34.75"S, 25°27’50.07"E and joins the Kabompo River at coordinates 12°53’48.10"S, 25°0’59.78"E spanning a distance of approximately 56km; thence Mwafwe River eastward through Matebo Game Management Area at bearing of 12°42’30.44"S, 25°32’27.30"E and joins the Mwombezhi after approximately 23.8km.
