Ordinarily the STJ will not entertain a habeas corpus that seeks to challenge a relator's denial of a liminar in a habeas corpus filed in the origin court, pursuant to the principle in Súmula 691 STF applied mutatis mutandis; moreover, the petition attempted to convert a challenge to a decision on prisão temporária into a pedido de prisão domiciliar (which is applicable only to prisão preventiva), and there is no teratological situation justifying bypassing the competent origin court; therefore the liminar is denied under arts. 34, XVIII, and 210 of the Regimento Interno do STJ.
