Eesti Vabariik (Pollumajanduse Registrite ja Informatsiooni Amet) (Agriculture - Common agricultural policy - Judgment) French Text [2024] EUECJ C-437/22 (29 February 2024)
EU law (Regulation No 1306/2013, read with Regulation No 640/2014 and in light of Regulation No 2988/95) allows recovery of unduly paid agricultural subsidies not only from the formal beneficiary but also from individuals who, without being beneficiaries, deliberately provided false information to obtain the aid. However, such individuals cannot be considered 'beneficiaries' under the specific regulatory definitions unless they meet the explicit criteria.
