EU law relating to the Common Agricultural Policy does not preclude a national prohibition on the cultivation of hemp (Cannabis sativa) using hydroponic systems in indoor environments, provided that such prohibition is appropriate and necessary to secure the objective of protecting public health and does not go beyond what is necessary in light of CAP objectives and the proper functioning of the CMO.
