Articles 7(2) and 33 of the REACH Regulation must be interpreted as requiring the 0.1% weight by weight threshold for substances of very high concern to be determined for each individual article/component within a complex product, not only for the assembled product as a whole. Producers, importers, and suppliers must assess and communicate the presence of such substances at the level of each article as defined by Article 3(3) REACH.
