Article 65(2) and (5) of Regulation No 883/2004 applies to a person who, before becoming wholly unemployed, resided in a Member State other than the competent Member State and was on sick leave receiving sickness benefits, provided that under the national law of the competent Member State, such benefits are treated as equivalent to employment. The reasons for transferring residence are irrelevant for entitlement under these provisions.
