In re TK (Minor) (Adoption Cause E062 of 2026) [2026] KEHC 11337 (KLR) (Family) (23 July 2026) (Judgment) Neutral citation: [2026] KEHC 11337 (KLR) Republic of Kenya In the High Court at Nairobi (Milimani Law Courts) Family Adoption Cause E062 of 2026 HK Chemitei, J July 23, 2026 N THE MATTER OF TK (MINOR) AND In the matter of HMN 1st Applicant JWM 2nd Applicant Judgment 1.By the Originating Summons dated 27th March 2026 the Applicants are seeking orders that:(a)The Applicants be authorised to adopt TK a minor who is to be known as HMW and the Registrar General be directed to enter this adoption into the Register of Adoptions.(b)TWM and FMK be appointed as the legal guardians of the child.(c)The child be presumed to have been born in kenya. 2.The application is based on the grounds thereof and the statements of even date as well as the affidavits in support. 3.The Court on 14th May 2026 while appointing the guardian ad litem directed that the Children Department does prepare a report in respect of the minor. 4.The said report dated 16th June 2026 is on record and I have had occasion to peruse the same. 5.The parties on 18th June 2026 appeared before Court albeit online including the minor as well as the proposed legal guardians. 6.The Court examined them and they all appeared to appreciate their respective roles. 7.In the premises and based on the paper trail on record I do find the summons meritorious.
