In re V aka TB (Adoption Cause E061 of 2026) [2026] KEHC 12047 (KLR) (Family) (30 July 2026) (Judgment) Neutral citation: [2026] KEHC 12047 (KLR) Republic of Kenya In the High Court at Nairobi (Milimani Law Courts) Family Adoption Cause E061 of 2026 HK Chemitei, J July 30, 2026 IN THE MATTER OF BABY V aka TG In the matter of MMF 1st Applicant BWM 2nd Applicant Judgment 1.The Applicants’ application dated 21st March 2026 seeks orders that:(a)The Applicants be allowed to adopt Baby V aka TG and henceforth the child be called ASM.(b)The child’s date and place of birth be declared to be 21st March 2024 at Nairobi County.(c)The child be declared a Kenyan citizen by birth and entitled to all rights and benefits.(d)ANEK and JMK be appointed as legal guardians of the child in the event that the Applicants herein are incapacitated or in any way unable to discharge their parental obligations.(e)The Registrar General be directed to make the appropriate entries in the Adopted Children’s Register and issue a certificate to that effect.(f)The relevant department under the Civil Registration Services be directed to issue a post adoption certificate of birth in respect of the child.(g)The Directorate of Immigration Services be directed to issue a passport to the child.(h)The guardian ad litem be discharged. 2.The application is premised on the statement thereof and the affidavit dated same date. 3.The Court on 14th May 2026 appointed a guardian at litem and directed that a report be prepared in respect to the minor. 4.The report dated 16th June 2026 has been placed before Court and it is positive. 5.The court on 25th June 2026 was able to see the parties online and interviewed them orally. They all appreciated their role and responsibilities. 6.In the premises and based on the paper trail on record I do find the suit meritorious and the same is hereby allowed as prayed. 7.Costs in the cause.
