The requirement under Order 2 Rule 10 of the Civil Procedure Rules is that particulars be contained in the Plaint, not necessarily in a specific format. The court further held that, even if there were defects, it had discretion under Order 2 Rule 15 to allow amendment of the Plaint to cure any deficiencies. The overriding objective under Article 159 of the Constitution requires that justice be administered without undue regard to procedural technicalities.
