The High Court lacks jurisdiction to grant leave to appeal or stay of execution against its own ruling enforcing an arbitral award where the arbitration agreement does not provide for a right of appeal and the Arbitration Act does not confer such jurisdiction. The Arbitration Act is a complete code, and the Civil Procedure Act and Rules do not apply to arbitral proceedings except as expressly provided. The parties' arbitration clause provided for finality of the arbitral award and excluded appeals. The grounds for court intervention in arbitral matters are strictly limited to those set out in Sections 35, 37, and 39 of the Arbitration Act, none of which were applicable to the present...
