The lump sum pension of Ksh. 421,475 became due and payable from the date of judgment (4th April 2001) and attracts simple interest at prevailing court rates from that date until payment in full. The monthly pension of Ksh. 8,823.40 became due and payable from April 2012, when the respondent attained the retirement age of 60 years, and also attracts simple interest at court rates for each month it remains unpaid.
