The duty to list the appeal for directions, previously on the appellant, now rests with the registrar following the 2020 amendments. Since no directions had been given in this appeal, the application to strike out the Memorandum of Appeal was premature and without merit. The court also noted that the appellant's delay was partly attributable to the court's failure to provide typed proceedings and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on court operations.
