The Tribunal found that the Claimant, having relinquished his chairmanship and ceased participation in the Sacco for five years after his vehicle was impounded, no longer met the requirements for membership as set out in the Sacco's by-laws. The by-laws, binding on all members, required active participation and maintenance of the common bond (ownership of a PSV vehicle operating on specified routes). The Claimant's failure to make contributions and absence from Sacco activities justified the committee's decision to terminate his membership.
