The High Court determined that it lacks jurisdiction to review its own orders on re-sentencing once it has already exercised that power. The applicant had previously sought and obtained a review of his sentence under section 333(2) of the Criminal Procedure Code, with the sentence ordered to commence from the date of arrest. The court held that its revisionary powers under sections 362 and 364 of the Criminal Procedure Code are limited to orders of lower courts and do not extend to reviewing its own decisions on sentence.
