The central issue is whether the Applicants are daughters of the deceased and thus entitled to be recognized as dependants. Both the Applicants and the Respondent dispute the paternity of the Applicants, but all parties are willing to undergo DNA testing. The court finds that a DNA test is the most reliable method to resolve the paternity question and, consequently, the Applicants' entitlement as dependants. The court therefore orders all parties to submit to DNA testing at the Government Chemist, with each party bearing their own costs.
