I have considered the Application. The legal threshold for an Application for joinder of an Interested Party, was firmly reiterated in Trusted Society of Human Rights Alliance v. Mumo Matemu & 5 Others [2014] eKLR, where the Supreme Court of Kenya reiterated the principles for joinder as an Interested Party. 2.It stated that an Interested Party is a person ab initio, who although is not a party to a suit, has a stake in the proceedings. One who will be affected by the decision of the court when it is made either way. In my view, such a person has to demonstrate that he or she has a stake in the suit or the subject matter of the suit. 3.This latitude is generally wide. I find that the Applicant has in this Application demonstrated that it has an interest in the subject matter of this suit. I therefore allow the Application, but with no order as to costs.
