The plaintiff also failed to seek an extension or enforcement of the order within a reasonable time, instead pursuing parallel proceedings in China. The delay in bringing the present application was unjustified, and the doctrine of laches applied. The original order had lapsed by operation of law, and there was no active order to enforce.
