The court interpreted 'amount recovered' to mean the decretal sum, not merely the sums paid so far. Order 9 Rule 9 of the Civil Procedure Rules requires that leave of court be obtained for change of advocates post-judgment, primarily to protect the outgoing advocate's interests.
