Legal Issues
- 1 Whether the sentence imposed for manslaughter was lawful and appropriate.
- 2 Whether there are sufficient grounds to revise the sentence imposed on the applicant.
Ratio Decidendi
The court found that the sentence of 10 years imprisonment for manslaughter was both lawful and lenient given the gravity of the offence. There was no evidence of any illegality, impropriety, or incorrectness in the sentence imposed by the trial court. As such, the court held that there were no sufficient grounds to warrant interference with the sentence through revision. The application for revision was therefore dismissed, and the original sentence was upheld.
