The Supreme Court found that the 14th respondent was not required to seek leave to file a cross appeal at this stage, as the matter was still in the compliance process and the time for filing a cross appeal had not yet lapsed under rule 47(2)(b) of the Supreme Court Rules, 2020. The application for extension of time was therefore unnecessary. Nevertheless, for good order, the Court allowed the application and directed the 14th respondent to file and serve its memorandum and record of appeal within fourteen days.
