The correct total of the awards under the various heads amounted to KShs. 1,678,655. After deducting KShs. 100,000 for loss of expectation of life, the correct sum to be awarded was KShs. 1,578,655. The court held that the Plaintiff was entitled to have the judgment reviewed and amended to reflect the correct calculation, as permitted under Order 45 Rule 1 of the Civil Procedure Rules and Sections 80 and 99 of the Civil Procedure Act.
