Advocates to act for Kenya Farmers Association Ltd, had been expressly barred from acting on behalf of the Interested Party by subsisting court orders in Kapenguria High Court Judicial Review No. 3 of 2019. Any actions taken by the Caretaker Board, including the appointment of advocates, during the period of the court orders were therefore null and void. The firm of Gatu Magana & Company Advocates was already properly on record for the Interested Party, and the correct procedure for change of advocates under Order 9 of the Civil Procedure Rules was not followed by Gitonga Muriuki & Co.
