The Tribunal found that the applicant, being self-represented, was not entitled to claim costs for items reserved for advocates under Schedule 11 of the Advocates (Remuneration) Order. Only those items supported by receipts and specifically provided for in the Schedule were allowed. Items without receipts, not provided for in the Schedule, or erroneously duplicated were disallowed. Attendances not amounting to hearings were taxed at the prescribed rate. The Tribunal exercised its discretion under Section 27 of the Civil Procedure Act and relevant provisions of the Advocates (Remuneration) Order to assess and award only those costs that were properly proved and allowable, resulting in a...
