The court held that the appellant, having already sought review of the maintenance order made on 27th May, 2021, is barred from appealing against that same order. The rationale is that the law does not permit a party to pursue both review and appeal remedies in respect of the same decision, as this would amount to an abuse of the court process and would undermine the overriding objective of expeditious disposal of cases and avoidance of multiplicity of proceedings. However, the appellant is not barred from appealing against the ruling delivered on 4th November, 2021, which dismissed the application for review.
