The High Court of Kenya does not have jurisdiction to revoke a grant of probate issued by a foreign court, even if that grant has been resealed in Kenya under Section 77 of the Law of Succession Act. The resealing process only allows the foreign grant to operate within Kenya for the purpose of administering property located in Kenya, but does not confer upon the Kenyan court the authority to review, set aside, or revoke the original foreign grant. Any application for revocation must be made in the jurisdiction where the grant was originally issued.
