The rectification of the grant, which resulted in the respondent taking over the applicant's late husband's share, was done without proper notice or consent and was therefore illegal and fraudulent. Furthermore, the death of the sole administrator rendered the grant inoperative under Section 76 of the Law of Succession Act.
