Instead, where an administrator is unable or unwilling to act, the proper procedure is to apply for revocation or annulment of the grant under section 76 of the Law of Succession Act, after which a fresh application for grant should be made. The court further held that rectification of a grant is limited to correcting clerical errors and does not permit substantive changes such as replacing the administrator.
