The court found that the initial grant was obtained by the 1st Administrator through concealment of material facts and exclusion of other beneficiaries, amounting to fraud. As a result, all transactions based on that grant, including sales to the applicants, were void ab initio. Section 93(1) of the Law of Succession Act does not protect purchasers who acquire property from an administrator acting fraudulently or without proper authority. The applicants, therefore, could not acquire good title to the suit properties, and their claims for revocation or rectification of the confirmed grant, or for exclusion of the properties from the estate, were without merit.
