The court found that the objector's application for revocation of grant was not properly directed against the current administrator, as no amended grant had been issued in the name of the substituted administrator, George Owino Opondo. Consequently, there was no valid application for revocation against the purported administrator. The court exercised its inherent jurisdiction under Rule 73 of the Probate & Administration Rules to restore the status quo as at 14th March 2017 and ordered that the deceased's surviving nephews, who are the interested parties, be substituted as the new administrators of the estate.
