The Environment and Land Court lacks jurisdiction to entertain a suit seeking to enforce or adopt an award of the Land Disputes Tribunal or a judgment of the magistrate’s court based on such an award. The Land Disputes Tribunal itself lacked jurisdiction to determine ownership or order cancellation of title, as its mandate was limited to disputes over boundaries, occupation, or trespass. The magistrate’s court similarly acted outside its jurisdiction in adopting the tribunal’s award as a judgment ordering cancellation and transfer of title.
