Although the defendant acknowledged the debt in a letter dated 26 January 2012, which revived the cause of action under section 23 of the Limitation of Actions Act, the plaintiff failed to file the suit within the prescribed period, as the suit was filed on 24 July 2015, beyond the statutory limitation period. The court held that the provisions of the Limitation of Actions Act and the Public Authorities Limitation of Actions Act are not interchangeable, and only Part III of the Limitation of Actions Act applies to public authorities....
