However, the Court agreed that there was no proper notice of appeal by the applicant in respect of the contempt order of 12th February 2020, and thus a stay of execution of that order could not be granted. Nonetheless, the applicant had lodged a notice of appeal against the ruling of 22nd April 2020, and the prayer for stay of proceedings could be considered on that basis.
