The trial magistrate's order for consecutive sentences was therefore erroneous. The court also considered the applicant's request for the sentences to run from the date of the order under Section 333(2) of the Criminal Procedure Code but found that the applicant failed to provide evidence to support his claim that he was already serving another sentence at the time of conviction.
