The Employment and Labour Relations Court has jurisdiction to enforce awards of compensation made by the Director of Occupational Safety and Health Services under the Work Injury Benefits Act where no objection or appeal has been lodged by the employer. The Act does not provide a mechanism for enforcement but does not oust the court's jurisdiction in such circumstances. Once the Director's assessment is made and not objected to, the assessed sum becomes the employee's right, and the court can adopt the award as its judgment and issue a decree for enforcement.
