However, the applicant expressed willingness to provide security for the due performance of the decree. The court, exercising its discretion in the interest of justice, granted leave to appeal out of time and ordered a stay of execution of the judgment, subject to the applicant paying half of the decretal sum to the respondent within 14 days and depositing the balance, costs, and interest in a joint interest-earning account in the names of the advocates for both parties within 14 days.
