The appellants failed to call any witnesses or substantiate their allegations of contributory negligence against the respondent or the other driver. The trial court's finding of 100% liability against the appellants was therefore justified. On quantum, the injuries and medical evidence supported the award of Kshs 500,000 in general damages and Kshs 102,954 in special damages.
