The court found that although the Plaintiffs acquired their title from Wilson Mwangi Ngoni and followed due process in their transaction, they failed to prove the legitimacy of Wilson Mwangi Ngoni's ownership, as he was not shown to be a member of Githunguri Ranching Company nor was there evidence of how he acquired the land. The root of the Plaintiffs' title was therefore defective and could not confer good title.
