The court found that although the succession cause in which the Plaintiffs were granted letters of administration was dismissed for want of prosecution prior to the filing of the present suit, the dismissal did not amount to a revocation or annulment of the grant. Under the Law of Succession Act, a grant of letters of administration remains valid and effective until it is expressly revoked or annulled by the court. The Plaintiffs therefore retained locus standi to institute and maintain the suit on behalf of the estate of the deceased.
