1. The matter for determination is the Bill of Cost dated 22/2/2024 filed by the Claimant. There was no response filed in the matter despite the orders of 15/4/2024 for parties to file Written Submissions.
2. We have amended the Bill of Cost as filed and the same is hereby taxed as per Schedule II Advocate Remuneration Order as follows;1. Item 1,3,4,5,7,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18 and 19 are hereby taxed as billed as its in accordance to Schedule II Advocate Remuneration Order.2. Items 6 further hearing is taxed at Kshs. 2100/= as per Schedule II Advocate Remuneration Order.3. Item 8 and 9 are taxed at Kshs. 1200/= for each item as per Schedule II Advocate Remuneration Order.4. On items 22, 23, 25 and 27 Service of letters to the advocate of Respondent, we note the same is within town and the same is taxed at Kshs. 500/= for each item.5. For item 20,21,24,26 and 28 the service of pleadings is taxed at Kshs. 1400/= on each item.6. For court fees, the same is taxed as it is since its billed to scale.In totality, the Bill of Cost is therefore taxed at Kshs. 167,467/=.
