The High Court lacks jurisdiction to review or revise a sentence imposed by a judge of concurrent jurisdiction. The constitutional and statutory powers of revision and supervisory jurisdiction are expressly limited to subordinate courts and do not extend to superior courts or judges of equal status. Section 4(2) of the Probation of Offenders Act is inapplicable to post-conviction sentence review by the High Court. Any attempt by a judge of the High Court to review or revise the decision of another High Court judge would be a nullity and a usurpation of power, as established by binding precedent and constitutional provisions.
