The court held that the interest accrued from the joint account, which held the proceeds of the sale of LR No. 5989/200, must be shared between the parties in the same 20:80 ratio as the principal sum, as previously determined in the judgment delivered on 20th December 2018. The court found no justification for the Respondent's claim to a higher share of the interest, noting that the interest was earned only on the amount deposited in the joint account (Ksh. 103,000,000), not the full sale price.
