The Land Disputes Tribunal lacked jurisdiction to determine disputes over ownership of registered land, as its statutory mandate was limited to division, boundaries, occupation, or trespass. The suit land, Trans-Nzoia/Kaisagat/202, was registered and had already been the subject of a High Court succession cause, with title issued to the 3rd appellant. The Tribunal's decision to award the land to another party was ultra vires and illegal. Furthermore, the Tribunal failed to accord the appellants a hearing, violating their right to a fair trial and the rules of natural justice.
