Therefore, Section 90 of the Employment Act, 2007, which imposes a three-year limitation period, did not apply retrospectively to the respondent's claim. Instead, the applicable law was Section 4(1) of the Limitation of Actions Act (Cap 22), which provides a six-year limitation period for contract claims.
