The court found that the plaintiff's termination was unlawful as it was not based on any of the contractual reasons stipulated in the employment agreement. The probationary period had expired, and the purported reason of 'non-confirmation' was irrelevant and not a valid contractual ground for dismissal. However, the plaintiff had accepted two months' salary in lieu of notice and all terminal benefits, and had signed a discharge certificate in which he declared he had no further claims against the defendant.
