Despite deductions from his deposits and those of two guarantors, there remained an outstanding balance of Kshs. 716,551.30 as at 16/12/2014, which continued to accrue interest. The Claimant failed to provide evidence that the loan was fully paid or that the Respondent's listing with the Credit Reference Bureau was erroneous. The Tribunal also noted that the Claimant was not adequately informed of the accruing interest after the initial recoveries, but this did not absolve him from liability for the outstanding debt.
