The client made a part payment but failed to settle the accrued interest, which the advocate was entitled to claim under Rule 7 of the Advocates Remuneration Order. Since the bill of costs was delivered on 2nd September 2021, interest at 14% per annum was to accrue from 29th October 2021. The respondent did not oppose the application, and there was no legal basis to deny the advocate's claim for interest.
