The High Court possesses jurisdiction under Section 47 of the Law of Succession Act and Rule 73 of the Probate and Administration Rules to issue injunctive orders in succession matters where necessary to preserve the estate. However, only a personal representative with a grant of representation has the legal standing to institute such proceedings on behalf of the estate. The applicants, being beneficiaries but lacking a grant of representation, do not have locus standi to bring the application.
