The evidence showed that the employment relationship ended due to the expiry of the contract, not through unfair termination. Under Kenyan law, a fixed-term contract ends automatically on the agreed date, and no notice or reasons are required unless the contract is terminated prematurely. The respondent was only entitled to wages for the unserved period (14 days) amounting to Ksh.12,000.
