The Environment and Land Court lacks jurisdiction to hear and determine disputes concerning the computation of interest and the exercise of statutory power of sale under a charge, as these are commercial matters reserved for the High Court. The Court of Appeal has authoritatively determined that such disputes do not fall within the mandate of the Environment and Land Court under Article 162 of the Constitution, Section 13 of the Environment and Land Court Act, or Section 150 of the Land Act.
